When I used to think of Shawty Lo, I used to think of his work with D4L. But "Dey Know" is the fucking song of the winter, and whenever that song comes on, I will forever think of frolicking in the snow, making a snowman. But when I heard the beat drop on "Dey Know" and heard the hook, I knew that I would buy his debut album "Units in the City". First and foremost, I knew that this album would have ridiculous production, and I would have got it just based on that, but add to that his sing song flow, and that is an unstoppable combination. I went to Best Buy last week to buy the album, and whenever I buy albums, the first thing I do is drive around and listen to it. When the beat came in for the opening song "100,000" it was over. This album goes deep. My favorite songs are "100,000", "Dey Know", "That's Shawty Lo", "Easily I Approach", and my favorite of the group, "Foolish." Now, I wouldn't call the album an all time classic, but who knows, maybe 10 years from now, we'll look back on this moment and realize it was seminole like Florida State.
