Lil Wayne Concert Review

FILE UNDER: Random (submit this)

Tonight, I experienced a potentially life changing event: a Lil Wayne concert. When I woke up this morning to drive to Fiesta to get my ticket, the radio was playing all Wayne songs in preparation. It was getting me hyped no homo. The concert would be taking place at Arena Theatre, a place previously unattended by myself and others. I left my crib at around 7:30 for the 8 pm concert. I arrived at roughly 8:15 and parked my car, fearful that I was late.

In short, this concert killed it. The venue itself fit about 2000 people and it was circular, and we all had seats. Imagine a concert hall but instead of Beethoven, it was Lil Wayne. There was a stage in the middle of the area that moved in a circular motion so we all could see the performer. The one opening act that I remember that killed it was ESG. He performed "Swangin' and Bangin;" and that song bangs hard as shit. He also killed every freestyle he spit. It was Houston at its finest.

Then after a long wait, Lil Wayne finally came on stage. That moment was life changing. When I saw his hair, I knew it was him no homo. Shortly after he came on, there was a fight about three rows in front of me. These two girls were goin at it, not sexually. They were on the floor grabbing each other's hair while all of us watched. The fight went on unusually long because there was no security or police in the area, so we just kept watching them rolling on the floor.

After a couple songs, the stage began to move, and then Lil Wayne said "Either I am high as shit or this stage is moving," which we all had a good chuckle. He went through The Carter I, II, and III tracks, spitting one or two verses, and he spit "The Block is Hot," which is my favorite Wayne song. The crowd never sat down after he came on and was going crazy with every beat, singing along. At the end of the concert, he began singing songs about how much he loves pussy.
