Now if you are like me, you watched tonight's Pistons Magic game. And the Magic, down 3, had the ball with like 20 seconds left, Hedo had the ball, drove to the hoop, went up for a dunk and promptly got his shit swatted by none other than Tayshaun. And about four years ago, when the Pistons were playing the Pacers, Reggie Miller had a break away lay in, when Tayshaun promptly swatted that shit too. So I thought to myself that they need to make a new category for clutch blocks. The clutch blocks category would consist of blocks made in the clutch. They should be tallied to see who is the clutched blocker of all time.

In addition to this, I took my idea one step further to create a stat for clutch rebounds off missed free throws. That is the shit that I hate the most, when Team A, up by 2, is at the line, and the player steps up and misses both free throws, and they get the offense board. That is demoralizing. Therefore, that should be a winning stat.
