Now if you know me, you know that I enjoy eating at the Waffle House. There is a Waffle House about 20 minutes from my apartment, and I go about two or three times a week, four or five if I am especially lucky. My favorite thing to get is the Toddle House Combo, which consists of a ham and cheese omlette, hashbrowns, and a side of bacon. That shit too good son.
However, there are three IHOPs that are within 5 minutes from my house. I'm not hating on IHOP at all. Some of my favorite moments in life have taken place at IHOP. I don't remember this 100%, but I'm pretty sure that after the first time I got high, I went to eat at an IHOP. That was a seminal moment for me, 'cause that's when I realized that getting munchies was an incredible gift.
Although they both are 24 hour diners that serve breakfast all day, there are several subtle differences between the two five star restaurants. First and foremost, Waffle House is only in the Southern part of America, whereas IHOP is global (actually, national). But digging even deeper, the biggest difference that strikes me are the waiters and waitresses of both establishments. Whenever I go eat at these places, it's usually between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. And every time I got, the waiter or waitress at IHOP is a FUCKING CRACK HEAD!!! Their eyes are about to pop out of their fuckin heads. And they talk really fast too, like "canitakeyourorderwouldyoulikeadrinkormostwaffles?" But every time I go to Waffle House, the people are chill, relaxed, and not on drugs. I think this is because at the Waffle House, the waiters and waitresses also have to cook the meals.
But I can't complain. Shit, I'll eat anything.
Tomorrow is part 2 of the series.
